Preview Project partners meeting in Naples, Italy

PREVIEW: Innovating Internships in the Digital Age

Mediterranean Pearls, in partnership with Italian lead partner CNR ISMED of Naples, the University of Sassari, the Academia de Studii Economice Din Bucuresti (Romania), the University of Salamanca (Spain), the Asociatia de Dezvoltare Intercomunitara Harghita (Romania), AlterContacts (Netherlands), and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (Turkey), has secured the Erasmus+ "Promoting Resilience and Employability in University" (PREVIEW 2022) project with a total budget of € 400,000.

The PREVIEW Project aims to promote innovative learning and teaching practices during internships to address new social challenges arising from the digital era. The project is committed to:

  • Designing and testing a new university curriculum that includes an innovative remote internship.
  • Gradually transitioning university partners from in-person internship programs to virtual programs in the tourism and cultural heritage sectors.
  • Engaging at least 100 students or graduates (including at least 16 with economic and geographical limitations) in remote internship experiences.
  • Providing at least 50 educational operators (teachers, trainers, university and corporate tutors) with enhanced digital skills to effectively manage blended internship experiences.
  • Involving at least 80 educational operators in learning activities that engage at least 150 students in the MOOC on remote skills.
  • Facilitating access to international work experiences despite economic and geographical limitations, disabilities, learning difficulties, and disadvantages.
  • Establishing a robust partnership between universities and business associations in tourism and cultural heritage to exchange expertise and improve the quality of remote internships.
  • Enhancing knowledge of new methodologies, tools, and technologies to support teachers and students in developing digital and transversal skills.

The project aims to stimulate forms of virtual collaboration and communication among students, university faculty, and company representatives.
